Navy MWR Mid-South is proud to present its Mardi Gras Party and Cajun Cook-off Friday, Feb. 21 at Eagle's Peak Bar and Grill located at Glen Eagle Golf Course (6168 Attu Street.) The party starts at 6 p.m. Wear your hats, masks and boas and come dressed to impress in Mardi Gras style! This event is open to all and there's no cover charge! There will be GREAT FOOD, GAMES, PRIZES, BEVERAGE SPECIALS, ENTERTAINMENT and "Peoples Choice" Cajun Cook-off contest judging. Cook-off judging begins at 6 p.m. SHARP!
How to enter the Cajun Cookin’ contest:
Do you make a "mean" gumbo or have a flair for Cajun cooking? Whip up your favorite Cajun dish (5 quart minimum) and join the competition. There is no entry fee to enter contest!!! However entrants must sign up to participate. Contact Brandy Lollar-Brown (901-874-5415) to enter cook-off no later than Friday, February 14. Please note that this is a "People Choice" contest and that means everyone who attends the party will be allowed to sample entries and it will be their taste buds that determine whose Cajun dish is the best. Cook-off entrants to have their dishes in place is 5:45 p.m. NO EXCEPTIONS! All Cook-off contestants will receive a Cajun Cook-off gift bag. Cash prize awarded for 1st, 2nd, & 3rd.
