Fitness & Sports

"The gym still doesn't provide shower towels. Are there plans to do so in the future"
Thank you for your request regarding towels. The main factors preventing us from reintroducing towels are budget constraints and the ability to properly wash and turn them over quickly. At this time, we do not plan to bring them back. However workout towels are available for patron use.

"Military veterans should be able to get into gym for free and be able to participate in activities for free just like active duty."
Thank you for sharing your concerns on this issue. Based on the Purple Heart and Disabled Veterans Equal Access Act of 2018 that went into effect on Jan. 1, 2020,  Purple Heart recipients, former prisoners of war, or veterans with VA-documented service-connected disability ratings of 0-90 percent will have increased or expanded access to MWR Retail facilities. This specifically refers to Golf Courses, Bowling Centers, Recreational Lodging, RV Campgrounds, Movie Theaters and Food and Beverage Facilities.

Medal of Honor recipients, Veterans Awarded the Purple Heart, Former POWs and Veterans with 100% service-connected disability ratings are eligible for DoD credentials under DoD policy and thus access to all facilities and programs afforded by those credentials or eligibility, this is separate from this expansion of services to 0-90% Veterans. "I drove all the way from Memphis today, only to find out the facilities are closed today and tomorrow because of potential severe weather. It would’ve been helpful to have been informed about this beforehand, either through a message when I called several times or a notice on the website. A little effort to communicate with customers would really make a big difference."
